Trnak [trnak] is grape variety that was kept mysterious for 50 years until Goran Franić decided to bring it a new life in 2007.
The real story happens during first 50 years of 20th century. Trnak was harvested in three localities: Vrgorac, Imotski, West Herzegovina. During Yugoslav regime, due to the agriculture policy that in reality meant quantity over quality, Trnak was not eligible for mass production.
